The Devil's Doom!

Hebrews 2:14  "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"

When a child is born he is born into the family of all mankind.  He is born a partaker of flesh and blood.  Jesus Christ took on the same attributes when He came to earth to fulfill His earthly ministry.  Jesus Christ who was fully God was made in the likeness of men according to Philippians 2:7.  He shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary for all mankind.  While Jesus was saving man on the cross at Calvary He was declaring a death sentence on the devil.  The devil had tried to keep Jesus from the cross.  He tempted Jesus in the wilderness trying to get Him to sin against the Father and disqualify Himself as the perfect lamb of God that came to take away the sin of the world.  We know that Satan failed.  His fate was sealed at the cross, an eternity in the Lake of Fire.  The devil isn't there yet, he's doing everything he can to take others with him.  If the devil is troubling you today take heart, his doom is sealed.
