Salvation Plain and Simple

Rom 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: "

Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

There is none of us that is righteous (good). We have all committed sin in our life. We stand guilty before a Holy God.

Rom 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. His sin has been passed down through humanity ever since. Every person that is born into this world is born as a sinner, due to Adam's transgression.

Rom 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
God demonstrated His love toward us by sending His only begotten Son to die for us on the cross.

Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
There was a penalty that had to be paid for sin. Jesus Christ willingly came and paid the penalty for our sin so that we don't have to die and spend an eternity in Hell, a place originally prepared for the devil and his angels.

Rom 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Rom 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If we will see ourselves as sinners, as God's Word clearly proves, and we will repent of our sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we can be saved and know beyond any doubt that Heaven is our eternal home. To repent means to be sorry for our sins and to make a 180 degree turn. We were once following after sin in our life, but now that we're saved we are moving toward God, not our sin.
