Right on Time, Every Time!

 Psalm 13:1-6

1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3  Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4  Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5  But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6  I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

David is crying out to God in the midst of a great trial in his life.  God's people have a tendency to think that God has forgotten them when His deliverance doesn't come immediately.  For some strange reason we think that God has to perform on our schedule.  God doesn't always instantly deliver when we're in the midst of distress.  God delivers right on time, every time.  His timing is always perfect.  When we feel that we're being overwhelmed by the enemy and feel that we're at the brink of death, we would do well to remember God's mercy.  When we discover that we have no strength left we find that his strength is unlimited!  When the trial is over and sunny days reappear we like David can praise our God for dealing bountifully with us!
