Acts 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."God issued the great commission to His disciples in Acts 1:8. The same commission holds true for us today. Jesus told them that the source of their power was the Holy Spirit. That holds true for us as believers today. He is our source of power to do the task that God has given us. The task is to be witnesses. In verse eight we see the progression of the witness. First we witness to those that are close by, then we branch out farther and farther, eventually reaching the uttermost part of the earth. God didn't give us a task to finish and leave us with no means to finish it. He has given us the power that we need to complete our mission. The power of the Holy Spirit of God. Are you tapping into that limitless power source today to help you do the job that god has given you?
