Joy Cometh in the Morning!

Psalm 30:5   "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

God is merciful to us as His children.  The Bible clearly teaches us that God chastens His children.  When we stray away from Him or are disobedient God will correct us.  He wants the best for us and sometimes that requires that we be corrected from the error of our way.  God is merciful even in discipline.  It's not fun for us to be disciplined by our Heavenly Father, but we need to understand that it is for our good.  God the Father is committed to conforming us to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.  When we start living in a manner that isn't demonstrating a Christ-likeness then God begins to whittle off the rough edges through chastening.  If we find ourselves in the midst of God's chastening today we can take joy in the fact that joy cometh in the morning.  It may not seem like it today, but there will come a day that we can reflect on what God has done in our life and we'll be able to praise Him for His correction.  God cares enough to discipline us when we go astray.  Praise Him for His love for us.
