Judgment will Fall

Pro 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

It's amazing to watch people with no fear of the Lord.  They live their lives like there is no tomorrow, grabbing for everything they can acquire in this life.  The important thing that they forget is that there is a tomorrow coming whether it is in this life or out in eternity.  The Bible speaks very clearly on this topic.  Heb 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:".  There is no one that will escape the judgment of a holy and righteous God.  We will all stand before God in Judgment.  Those who have trusted Christ by faith will stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ.  Those who have lived for themselves in this life and never trusted Christ will stand before the Lord at the Great White Throne Judgment.  Listen to these verses that describe that terrible judgment in the Book of Revelation.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

What a tragic end for any man or woman.  Those whose names were not found written in the Book of Life were cast into the lake of fire.   Our beginning verse says that, "Evil men understand not judgment..."  If they truly understood this judgment it would change their lives.  They would realize there is a judgment for sin and a consequence that must be paid for living an evil and selfish life.   They would come to the understanding that Christ paid the penalty for their sins on the cross at Calvary.  All they have to do is repent of their sin and trust Christ by faith, believing that He died on the cross for them and that He was raised to life on the third day.  If they will do this they can become a new man.  God will perform a wonderful work of grace in their life.

They that seek the Lord will understand all things.  How do we seek the Lord?  We seek him through prayer and in His Word.  If we spend time seeking God in His Word we will understand all things.  That is because the Bible is such a relevant Book for our lives today that it speaks to every part of our life.  The Bible will meet every need of our lives if we will seek God's answer in His Word.  It has the answers to our church needs, our marital needs, our family needs and our psychological needs.  If we'll seek God He will provide the answers and help that we need.  Are you struggling with some problem and there seems to be no solution?  Seek God's answer in His Holy Word!
