Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."
We can't even begin to know knowledge or wisdom until we fully understand and appreciate the LORD. When we reject the LORD and refuse to accept Him as our god the bible declares that we are fools. We despise wisdom and instruction. We don't know the source of all of Wisdom, the LORD. We refuse the instruction that is able to make us wise unto salvation. In order to become wise we must see the LORD for whom He is. He is the LORD that loved us enough to die for us. He died that we might have eternal life and know the knowledge and wisdom that is available through Him!
